AH Week 2 picks; Iowa by at least 11 points
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Week two for picks is highlighted, of course, by the annual showdown between Iowa and Iowa State.
The game will be played at night with the kickoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Saturday at Kinnick Stadium. Iowa is favored by 15 points and all three of our prognosticators have the Hawkeyes winning by at least 11 points, but only one, Tyler Devine, has Iowa covering the spread.
John Feeney, manager for Skeffington’s Formal Wear, is this week’s guest picker. Feeney has lived in Iowa City for his entire life and has followed the Hawkeyes for as long as he can remember.
He also is co-host of the Sports Buddies on KCJJ radio in Iowa City, and not a fan of Iowa State or Penn State.
The pickings were kind of slim this week after an incredible opening week of games from which to choose. But all five games make you think, although, some Iowa fans likely would disagree.

Iowa 31, Iowa State 13: Iowa State’s video staff hijacks the Jumbotron at Kinnick and plays the "There’s A Storm Brewing" hype video before The Swarm exits the tunnel. The caper backfires and it ignites the home crowd and players as Iowa rolls to another victory.

The Tar Heels come out on top in this one as they enjoy a home-field advantage, of sorts.
