Monday’s podcast features Don Patterson’s analysis of the Iowa football team
IOWA CITY, Iowa – It is Monday, which mean it’s time for Don Patterson’s weekly assessment of the Iowa football team.
The former Hawkeye assistant coach and Western Illinois head coach talks for 15 minutes about why Iowa is struggling at 3-2 heading into Saturday’s game at Minnesota.
He also addresses the post-game comment made by Iowa All-America defensive back Desmond King, who said Iowa was out-coached after Saturday’s 38-31 loss to Northwestern. King quickly back-tracked on his comment, but it already was circulating on social media by then.
Patterson said it’s important that all of the players take ownership and he thinks they will against Minnesota. He mentions the fine line between winning and losing at Iowa and seems optimistic that Iowa can right the ship.
We mostly stay on course during the entire, podcast, although, there is some brief mention of the Cowsills near the end.
