Eno Benjamin ends the worry and speculation
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Prize running back recruit Eno Benjamin finally gave Hawkeye fans something to cheer about on what had been a miserable Saturday.
The Texas native ended recent speculation that he might be wavering on his commitment to Iowa by sharing his feelings on Twitter.
“Ain’t no question about it. I’m a Hawk. Quit the speculation,” Benjamin said on Twitter approximately two hours after Iowa had lost to Northwestern 38-31 at Kinnick Stadium.
"I really just don’t entertain (the speculation). They will see me when I’m on campus. I have some good news coming that should put it all to rest."

Benjamin is among six Texas natives who are committed to Iowa’s 2017 recruiting class. The class currently has 17 players overall, all of whom are high school seniors.
Benjamin committed to Iowa in April and has since been helping to add other players to the class as a recruiter.
It is uncertain what led to this most recent speculation that Benjamin might be loosening his ties with Iowa. But he is active on social media. So there is a chance that something he posted on Twitter might have been misinterpreted by Iowa fans.
Verbal commitments don’t become official until a recruit has signed a national letter of intent.
The national signing period for football starts on the first Wednesday in February.
However, Benjamin has talked about graduating from high school early and enrolling at Iowa for the 2017 spring semester.
The Wylie, Texas native is ranked as a four-star recruit and is considered one of the top running backs in Texas.
