AH TV: Iowa players talk about the huge challenge in facing Wisconsin
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Kinnick Stadium will be the scene of a critical Big Ten border clash on Saturday when the Iowa football team faces No. 10 Wisconsin.
A loss would cause serious damage to both teams’ chances of winning the Big Ten West Division, but especially the Badgers, who are 1-2 in conference play.
Wisconsin’s two losses were against third-ranked Michigan and No. 2 Ohio State this past Saturday in overtime. So that helps to explain why the Badgers are still so highly ranked.
The Iowa players understand the challenge that faces them on Saturday. Wisconsin is big, physical and fundamentally sound.
In many ways, the Badgers are like the Hawkeyes. Both teams like to run the ball and are usually sound on defense. Iowa struggled earlier in the season on defense, but has performed much better in the last two games.
Select members of the Iowa team, including quarterback C.J. Beathard and linebacker Josey Jewll, talk in the following interviews about the challenge of facing Wisconsin and what makes the Badgers so difficult to defeat. The interviews were held during Iowa’s weekly press conference on Tuesday.
