AH-TV: Fran McCaffery, Iowa players react to Saturday’s loss to Nebraska-Omaha
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Select members of the Iowa men's basketballt team met with the media after Saturday's 98-89 loss to Omaha at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
It was Iowa's fourth consecutive loss and the fourth game this season in which Iowa has allowed at least 90 points. The players seem perplexed by the defensive woes, saying it's been different in practice.
The situation is serious enough after just eight games that the players held a players-only meeting after Saturday's loss, which lowered Iowa's record to 3-5 heading into Monday's game against Stetson.
Here are several player interviews from Saturday, along with comments from Iowa coach Fran McCaffery.
