IOWA CITY, Iowa – Regardless if the Iowa football team is coming off a victory or a loss, the Monday podcast with former Iowa offensive coordinator Don Patterson is always a treat.

Patterson spoke for nearly 30 minutes about Iowa's 17-10 overtime loss at Northwestern in which the Hawkeyes were outscored 17-3 in the second half and overtime.

The loss lowered Iowa's record to 1-3 in the Big Ten and 4-3 overall heading into Saturday's game againt Minnesota at Kinnick Stadium.

Patterson addressed a number of topics, including Iowa's sputtering rushing attack, which produced just 89 net rushing yards and a 2.7 per-carry rushing average against Northwestern.
