AH TV: Iowa players look ahead to rivalry game against Minnesota
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Operation Rebound is well underway for the Iowa football team.
The players have moved on from the disappointment of Saturday's 17-10 overtime loss to Northwestern and are now focused solely on the battle for Floyd of Rosedale.
Iowa will face Minnesota at 5:35 p.m. on Saturday at Kinnick Stadium. The game will be televised by Fox Sports 1.
Both teams are 4-3 overall and 1-3 in conference play and desperate for a win.
Saturday will be the 111th meeting between Iowa and Minnesota, but the first four new Minnesota head coach P.J. Fleck. Minnesota holds a 62-46-2 advantage in the series, but Iowa has 12 of the last 16 meetings.
Iowa received some good news on Tuesday when head coach Kirk Ferentz confirmed on the Big Ten teleconference that star linebacker Josey Jewell would play on Saturday barring a setback.
Jewell missed the Northwestern game due to a shoulder injury.
