AH TV: Urban Meyer, Kirk Ferentz and Ohio State players react to Saturday’s shocking outcome
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Kinnick Stadium was the scene of arguably the biggest upset in college football on Saturday as unranked Iowa crushed No. 3 Ohio State 55-24 on Saturday.
Iowa sophomore defensive back Amani Hooker ignited the upset by recording a pick-six on the first play of the game.
Ohio State answered back with a touchdown on its next posserssion, but the Hawkeyes were not to be denied on this day.
The 55 points scored are the most by Iowa in the series in 65 meetings and the most points scored against a ranked opponent since Iowa defeated Texas 55-17 in the 1984 Freedom Bowl.
The 31-point margin of victory is also the highest for Iowa in the series, and Saturday marked the first time since 2004 that Iowa has defeated Ohio State and just the fifth time since 1963.
Here are multiple videos featuring Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz, Ohio State coach Urban Meyer, Ohio State center Billy Price and Buckeye defensive lineman Tyquan Lewis.
