AH podcast: Don Patterson breaks down the rout at Nebraska and looks at all the coaching changes
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Don Patterson made his usual Monday appearance on the KCJJ/AllHawkeyes podcast, and as usual, he gave some unique insight.
Iowa's former offensive coordinator under Hayden Fry explained how and why Iowa had its way with Nebraska during the 56-14 beat-down this past Friday at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Neb.
Iowa rushed for a season-high 313 yards and had six rushing touchdowns, including three by Akrum Wadley.
The Hawkeyes trailed 14-7 before scoring 49 consecutive points, including 42 in the second half.
Iowa has now won five of the last six games against Nebraska, which fired head coach Mike Riley the day after Friday's loss.
Patterson also talked about all the head coaching changes that are currently happening in college football. His interview lasted for approximately 45 minutes and is at the beginning of the podcast.
The second half of the two-hour podcast was filled mostly by numerous callers expressing their thoughts. We always appreciate feedback from the callers and think you will, too.
So if you're into Iowa football, this podcast is just what you need to start your week.
