IOWA CITY, Iowa – Iowa baseball coach Rick Heller joined Wednesday's podcast.

Heller, who recently signed a contract extension that runs through 2024, talked about his team's first few practices and gave a preview of the upcoming season.

Heller also provided an update on Connor McCaffery's status with the baseball team.

McCaffery, who is the son of Iowa men's basketball coach Fran McCaffery, has battled illness and injury as a part of the Iowa basketball team this season and is currently redshirting.
