Football recruiting notebook: Jaeden Roberts excited by Iowa offer; Michael Lois enjoys another visit to campus

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Jaeden Roberts’ unofficial visit to Iowa on Sunday not only gave him his first look into the program.
It also resulted in the third scholarship offer for the 2021 offensive lineman.
“(The Iowa offer) feels amazing,” Roberts said. “Words can’t describe how I felt hearing I got offered.”
One thing that excites the 6-foot-6, 320-pound Roberts about Iowa is its tradition of developing professional-caliber offensive linemen.
“It’s pretty great,” Roberts said. “It just shows how much Iowa wants to get their guys to the top and I like that a lot.”
Roberts also said that he was impressed by the passion that the Iowa players and coaches had for the school and the program.
Roberts, a native of Overland Park, Kan., also has offers from Nebraska and Missouri.
Hey, Lois: Three-star defensive end Michael Lois also got a good look at Iowa on Sunday.
Lois, a native of Elkhorn, Wis., enjoyed the opportunity to see more than just the football side of Iowa during his third visit to campus.
“Definitely how great the coaches and facilities are stood out,” Lois said. “We met with the coaches and other 2020 recruits for a brunch. We got a more in-depth look at the program and also academics.”
Lois has offers from Iowa and South Dakota State.
He said he plans to wait until after this upcoming season to make a college choice.
