AH podcast: Don Patterson gives his assessment of Iowa’s 28-17 loss to Wisconsin
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Dan Patterson made his usual Monday guest appearance on the Allhawkeyes/KCJJ radio show and gave a detailed evaluation of what he observed during Iowa's 28-17 loss to Wisconsin this past Saturay at Kinnick Stadium
Patterson, who coached under Hayden Fry at Iowa for 20 seasons, was encouraged by the Iowa running game, and by the performace of quarterback Nate Stanley, who passed fopr 256 yards and two touchdowns against the Badgers.
Patterrson also explains what went wrong on special teams, where Iowa had two of its three turnovers, and he looks ahead to Iowa's next game on Oct. 6 at Minnesota.
Patterson thinks the Iowa players will benefit from having a bye week this week and is confident that Iowa will rebound against the depleted Gophers.
