IOWA CITY, Iowa – Iowa Athletic Director Gary Barta finally broke his slience on Friday about the Gary Dolphin controversy.

Barta met with the media about 45 minutes before the start of Iowa's Big ten opener against Wisconsin at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Barta made no indication that Dolphin's future as Iowa's play-by-play personality was in any jeopardy.

Barta also that any the tensions mentioned after the incident have since been worked out.
