IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Iowa football team is hosting its first junior day of 2019 this weekend.

Roughly 50 prospects from the 2020, 2021 and 2022 recruiting classes will be on hand to take in the sights and sounds of the Iowa campus.

Among the visitors will be 2021 defensive end Travion Ford, who already has scholarship offers from many college football blue bloods.

The 6-foot-4, 215-pound Ford currently holds offers from Iowa, Alabama, Kentucky, Louisiana State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio State, Tennessee and Utah.

Iowa also will be getting a visitor from a little farther away in three-star defensive back Omari Porter.

Porter, a native of Auburn, Ala., received an offer from Iowa in January.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Porter also has offers from Alabama-Birmingham, Florida Atlantic, Indiana, Memphis, Michigan, Oregon, Purdue, Vanderbilt and Virginia.
