AH podcast: We spend 30 minutes with the head Hawk Kirk Ferentz
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Kirk Ferentz took time away from his schedule on Friday to be our guest on the Allhawkeyes radio show and podcast.
The head Hawk spent approximately 30 minutes addressing multiple topics, including who has stood out in spring practice.
Ferentz also talked about some of his concerns with college football and about how much spring practice has changed since he started coaching at the collegiate level in the early 1980s.
Iowa just passed the midway point of spring practice, which concludes on Friday April 26th.
Ferentz also talked about what he looks for in an offensive lineman recruit, and he made reference to former Hawkeye and current NFL star Marshal Yanda while doing so.
Yanda came to Iowa in 2005 as an unheralded junior college recruit and he now ranks as one of the greatest offensive guards in NFL history.
It's always a privilege to talk with Kirk Ferentz away from the typical press conference setting and we think you'll enjoy this interview.
