AH TV: A spring update on the Iowa football team’s passing attack and secondary
IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Iowa football team's passing game was the focus on Tuesday as select players met with the media.
Starting quarterback Nate Stanley did not make an appearance due to a class conflict, but his backup, redshirt sophomore Peyton Mansell, spoke with the media about the competition for the backup quarterback spot and his comfort within the Iowa system.
Senior cornerback and junior safety Geno Stone also provided an update on multiple topics, including which young defensive backs are taking the biggest strides during spring practice.
Iowa quarterbacks coach Ken O'Keefe and receivers coach Kelton Copeland also met with the media on Tuesday.
It was the third of four press conference this spring in which assistant coaches and select players were made available to the media.
The fourth press conference will take place next Tuesday and will include select players along with offensive coordinator Brian Ferentz and defensive coordinator Phil Parker.
Iowa will conclude spring practice on April 26th.
Head coach Kirk Ferentz will address the media on the final day of practice.
