AH TV: Iowa players look back at the bye week and ahead to Middle Tennessee State
IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Iowa football team is getting healthier thanks to this past bye week and now it's on to facing Middle Tennessee State on Saturday at Kinnick Stadium
A victory would improve Iowa's record to 4-0 for the fifth time in 21 seasons under head coach Kirk Ferentz.
The Blue Raiders are 1-2 , including a 41-20 loss at Michigan in the season opener.
Select members of the Iowa team met with the media on Tuesday, including kicker Keith Duncan, who has made all eight of his field-goal attempts this season. Duncan talked about staying the course at Iowa after having lost his starting position in 2017 and about why he chose to attend Iowa as a walk-on.
Running backs Ivory Kelly-Martin and Mekhi Sargent also talked about the running game and about Iowa's four-player rotation at that position. Kelly-Martin said the competition at running back is beneficial because you have to perform at your best or risk losing ground.
Redshirt freshman center Tyler Linderbaum talked about his sudden rise up the depth chart and about whether he expected to be starting this soon as Hawkeye.
Here are multiple player interviews from Tuesday's press conference:
