Introducing ‘The Devine Line’ – a new HawkFanatic podcast
IOWA CITY, Iowa – HawkFanatic is pleased to present a new podcast – “The Devine Line”, featuring HawkFanatic’s Tyler Devine.
Tyler is a lifelong Iowa City resident and is the great, great nephew of Iowa football legend Aubrey Devine.
Tyler’s great grandfather, Glenn Devine, was also key part of Iowa’s 1921 Big Ten championship team that included Duke Slater and Lester Belding.
Tyler has been working with Pat Harty for over four years now and is excited to get into the world of podcasting.
The podcast will mostly cover football and basketball recruiting, but will also venture into other topics.
Iowa basketball commit and London native Josh Ogundele joins the show for episode one as the first in what we hope will be a long line of great guests.
Ogundele’s arrival on campus in Iowa City has been put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The delay could be extended due to new measures put in place by ICE saying that international students must leave the U.S. if their schools revert to online-only education.
This podcast also reacts to the Big Ten conference’s decision to eliminate non-conference games for the fall 2020 sports season.
Hope you enjoy the first one and welcome aboard.
