Iowa offer big for in-state 2023 offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Kadyn Proctor grew up watching the Iowa football team play.
The 2023 Des Moines native now has the opportunity to play for the Hawkeyes after receiving a scholarship offer Wednesday.
“It’s definitely big for me,” Proctor said. “Growing up as one of those guys watching football all around Iowa and getting a feel for what was ahead of me because I knew it was what I wanted to do.”
The 6-foot-7, 285-pound Proctor also holds scholarship offers from Arizona State, Arkansas, Iowa State, Kansas State, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska and Oregon.
Proctor said he has been able to build a relationship with the coaching staff at Iowa.
“(The coaches) are very welcoming and wanting to build strong relationships,” Proctor said. “Also, getting to see what the culture is like over there is big and strong.”
Proctor’s teammates at Southeast Polk, three-star quarterback Jaxon Dailey and four-star defensive back Xavier Nwankpa, have also garnered interest from Power Five schools.
Nwankpa in particular has seen his recruitment take off recently with offers from Iowa, Oklahoma, Ohio State and Penn State, among others.
Dailey holds offers from Buffalo, Iowa State and Michigan, according to Rivals.com.
Proctor said it helps having Dailey and Nwankpa, both of whom are 2022 prospects, to talk to about the recruiting process.
“It is very cool to see because we both have sky rocketed into our recruitment and having all these options is a blessing,” Proctor said. “So, it is very nice having someone I can go to and talk about recruitment with, also Jaxon is a big help. They both are solid resources and know what they need to get done.”
