IOWA CITY, Iowa – Iowa fans aren’t the only ones high on their men’s basketball team.

Iowa is ranked fifth in the Associated Press Top 25 preseason poll, its second highest preseason ranking ever.

Iowa returns the bulk of its roster from last season, including 6-foot-11 All-American senior center Luka Garza, who was also named the Big Ten Preseason Player of the Year on Monday.

Iowa is one of three Big Ten teams ranked in the top 10.

Wisconsin is ranked seventh while Illinois is ranked eighth in the poll.
