IOWA CITY, Iowa – Former Iowa basketball player Ed Horton was our guest on Friday.
Horton, a native of Springfield, Ill., previewed Iowa’s matchup with Illinois tonight in Champaign and he also reflected on his Iowa career, which lasted from 1985-89.
Horton, along with B.J. Armstrong and Roy Marble, formed one of the top triumvirates in school history.
Horton, Armstrong and Marble were recruited to Iowa by George Raveling, but they played their final three seasons under Tom Davis, making the NCAA Tournament in all four seasons at Iowa.
Horton talked about the responsibilities and joys of being a father as he has four daughters and 12-year-old son.
