Iowa tight end Josiah Miamen arrested early Saturday

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Iowa sophomore tight end Josiah Miamen was arrested early Saturday.
Miamen, a native of Peoria, Illinois, was charged with disorderly conduct, trespass, interference with official acts, public intoxication and possession of a fictitious ID.
Miamen allegedly was blocking the entrance to Elray’s Live and Dive in downtown Iowa City and when asked to leave allegedly pushed tried to punch a staff member.
According to police reports, the 6-foot-4, 242-pound Miamen was spotted at the corner of Washington Street and Dubuque Street, but fled on foot after being asked to stop by a police officer and was arrested after a brief chase.
Miamen came to Iowa in the 2019 recruiting class but has not seen any game action.
