IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa head women’s basketball coach Lisa Bluder announced on Wednesday that freshman guard Lauren Jensen has submitted her name in the NCAA transfer portal with the intention of leaving the women’s basketball program.

“We are certainly sad to see Lauren leave our program,” said Bluder. “She is a terrific person and we remain so proud of how she represented our program. We wish her the very best and we will always be cheering for her.”

Jensen, a native Lakeville, Minnesota, saw limited action in 18 games in 2020-21, averaging 1.3 points, 0.5 assists, and 0.4 rebounds.
