IOWA CITY, Iowa – From a recruiting standpoint, June is off to a good start for the Iowa football team.
Three-star 2022 offensive lineman Jack Dotzler announced his commitment to the Hawkeyes on Wednesday night.
Dotzler, a native of Waunakee, Wis., is the third player to commit to Iowa’s 2022 recruiting class.
The 6-foot-7, 265-pound Dotzler also had Power Five scholarship offers from Arizona State, Indiana, Iowa State, Michigan State, Penn State, Purdue and Vanderbilt.
Iowa’s most recent verbal commitment had been from three-star defensive lineman Caden Crawford in February.
Four-star defensive lineman Aaron Graves, a native of Gowrie, Iowa, was the first to join the 2022 class in June 2019.
Dotzler also is the first player to commit to Iowa’s 2022 class since the NCAA ended its recruiting dead period on June 1.
