2022 Huxley offensive lineman Kale Krogh discusses Iowa offer

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Sometime during Kale Krogh’s freshman year of high school, Iowa assistant defensive line coach Jay Niemann visited Krogh’s school.
Niemann liked what he saw and invited Krogh to camp and a relationship formed between the two sides.
During a visit to campus Saturday, Krogh, a three-star 2022 offensive lineman according to Rivals.com, received a scholarship offer from the Hawkeyes.
“It’s really big,” Krogh said. “It’s important to me because Iowa was the first team to recognize me my freshman year. I got to see them, and they started recruiting me. Just going through the process and getting this offer is really showing that hard work pays off, the grind has been worth it. It’s just super cool seeing this come through.”
Krogh, a native of Huxley, Iowa, has one other Power Five offer from Minnesota and a host of offers from Mid-American Conference schools.
Krogh said he does not currently have any favorites, though Iowa and Minnesota stand out the most because he has actually been on both campuses.
Krogh has an official visit set up at Minnesota June 18 and is working on one at Iowa on June 25.
The 6-foot-6, 267-pound Krogh said he plans to make a decision before his senior year, but that’s not set in stone.
“I think it’s going to be more of when you know, you know,” Krogh said. “So I think that’s going to be more the big factor.”
