2022 point guard Dasonte Bowen commits to Iowa men’s basketball team

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Iowa men’s basketball team landed its first commitment in the 2022 recruiting class Wednesday when three-star point guard Dasonte Bowen announced his commitment to the Hawkeyes via Twitter.
Bowen, who attends Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, took an official visit to Iowa City on June 3.

The 6-foot-3, 170-pound Bowen chose Iowa over scholarship offers from Georgetown, Miami (FL), Northwestern, Penn State, Rutgers and Seton Hall, among others.
Bowen is the 37th-ranked point guard in the 2022 class, according to Rivals.com.
At one point, Bowen attended Worcester Academy in Massachusetts with current Hawkeye sophomore center Josh Ogundele.
