Report: Iowa hoops to play another game at Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls
IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D. is turning into a home away from home for the Iowa men’s basketball tam.
It appears for the second consecutive season, and third in the last five, that Iowa will play a nonconference game at the Pentagon.
College basketball writer Jon Rothstein reported Monday that Iowa will play Utah State at the Pentagon on Dec. 18. That would be almost exactly a year after Iowa lost to Gonzaga at the Pentagon this past season.
Iowa defeated Colorado 80-73 on Dec. 22, 2017 at the Pentagon.
Utah State, which competes in the Mountain West Conference, finished 20-9 this past season.
