Bostick is not the first recruit Ferentz has had to battle for against Bielema, who walked on at Iowa under Hayden Fry and played as a defensive lineman from 1989-92, and was the Wisconsin head coach from 2006-12.
The 6-foot-2, 175-pound Bostick is the fifth player to commit to the class since the NCAA lifted recruiting restrictions on June 1.
Bostick also had Power Five scholarship offer from Kansas State, Louisville and Pittsburgh.
Bostick is the second player to commit to Iowa’s 2022 class this week after Oklahoma quarterback Carson May announced his verbal commitment on Tuesday.
