Iowa City, Iowa – Until Friday, 2022 tight end prospect Addison Ostrenga was committed to play baseball at Iowa.

That changed when the Sun Prairie, Wis., native announced his commitment to play football for the Hawkeyes instead.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Ostrenga is the eighth player to commit to Iowa’s 2022 recruiting class.

Iowa was the only school to offer Ostrenga a football scholarship, according to Rivals.com.

Ostrenga joins Jayden Montgomery and Jack Dotzler as Wisconsin natives in the class.

Ostrenga is the first tight end in the class.
