Iowa baseball sets fall schedule

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa baseball team will play three home games and the annual Black & Gold World Series during its fall schedule, it was announced Thursday by head coach Rick Heller.
The Hawkeyes will officially begin fall practice Sept. 14 before hosting “Scout Day” on Sept. 17. The team’s first game will be Sept. 22 against the Mississagua Tigers at 3 p.m. (CT) at Duane Banks Field.
Iowa will host Iowa Western Community College on Oct. 2 (during an Iowa football bye weekend) and Kirkwood Community College on Oct. 8 before wrapping up the fall with a best-of-three Black & Gold World Series from Oct. 18-20.
