Iowa basketball adds another recruit from Illinois as 2023 PG Brock Harding announces his commitment
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Just hours after forward Cooper Koch had committed to the Iowa men’s basketball team on Thursday, Fran McCaffery has landed another recruit from Illinois.
Moline point guard Brock Harding announced his commitment to Iowa late Thursday afternoon and approximately five hours after Koch had announced for the Hawkeyes.
The 6-foot Harding is the second player to commit to Iowa’s 2023 class, while the 6-8 Koch is the first player to commit to Iowa’s 2024 recruiting class.
Koch is also the son of former Iowa forward J.R. Koch.
Harding recently visited Iowa and he picked the Hawkeye over scholarship offers from Bradley, Colorado State, Loyola, Drake, Illinois State, Western Illinois and he also had interest from Wisconsin and Illinois.
Harding also plays on the same AAU team as 6-10 Iowa recruit Owen Freeman, who is from Bradley, Illinois and a member of the 2023 class.
