Caleb Pyfrom stands out as one of the top 2024 offensive linemen in the region, literally. The 6-foot-5, 300-pounder from Omaha (NE) Central High casts a large shadow and reports scholarship offers from 10 different Power 5 programs.

He claimed an Iowa opportunity on Nov. 12. He expected to visit the Hawkeyes again this Spring.

“I love their tradition of great linemen, the amazing fan base and football culture around their team,” he told HF.

Pyrom also reported scholarship offers from Colorado, Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska and Penn State. He’s visited the Hawkeyes, Huskers, Cyclones, K-State and the Gophers so far.

Iowa played host to him during its game against Wisconsin in November. He enjoyed the atmosphere and hoped to find out more this Spring when he stopped back on campus.

“I want to learn more about what they stand for and be able to tour around the facilities a little more,” he said.

Pyrom brings athleticism to the O-Line. He plays basketball and participates in field events for track at his high school.

“(The Iowa coaches) have said they love how I play and my athletic build,” he said.

Rivals and 247Sports rank Pyrom as a three-star prospect. The latter sees him as the No. 34 offensive tackle nationally in the ’24 Class and seventh-best player overall in Nebraska for the cycle.

Central played Pyrom at right tackle during his junior season. He stood out as a bright spot on a 1-8 squad and gave it hope for improvement in ’23.
