5-Star WR Jaime Ffrench Considering Iowa Visit
Hawkeyes Offer '25 FL Standout Wednesday
Florida has been well represented in the Iowa Football program during the last quarter of a century. It started with guys like Fred Barr and Colin Cole in the late ’90s, and continued on through ’22 NFL Draft Pick Dane Belton.
The Hawkeyes are pursuing another talented player from the Sunshine State in the 2025 Class. 247Sports composite five-star receiver Jaime Ffrench announced he’d received a scholarship offer from them on Wednesday.
“They came out to the my spring practice,” the Jacksonville (FL) Mandarin sophomore told HF.
A lot of programs are visiting Mandarin to check out Ffrench and his teammates. He reports scholarship offers from Miami (FL), Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, Maryland, Florida State, Michigan, Florida, Pitt, Penn State, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Missouri, Wisconsin, LSU and quite a few other schools.
Ffrench (6-1, 175) has visited Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, Ohio State, Notre Dame and others. He said he wanted to get back to ‘Bama, FSU and Ohio State “for sure.”
He’s thinking about an Iowa campus stop.
“I want to but right now it’s up in the air,” he said.
Ffrench doesn’t know a lot about the Hawkeyes. What he does know, he values.
“I like the culture, the atmosphere, the fans. It’s awesome,” he said.
A five-star in the 247Sports composite, Ffrench is viewed as the No. 4 receiver and the No. 15 player overall in ’25 in those rankings. 247Sports sees him as the No. 5 wideout, while On3 puts him third at the position.
Ffrench caught 44 passes for 671 yards as a sophomore last Fall.
