Hawk Fanatic podcast: Don Patterson talks Hawkeye football and more
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Former Iowa offensive coordinator, and former Western Illinois head coach Don Patterson, made his usual Monday appearance on the Hawk Fanatic radio show and podcast and he addressed multiple topics.
Patterson talks about Iowa’s 26-16 victory over Michigan State last Saturday at Kinnick Stadium and he looks ahead to facing Purdue this Saturday at Kinnick Stadium.
He also talks about the situation at quarterback for Iowa where Deacon Hill has replaced the injured Cade McNamara as the starter. McNamara suffered what appeared to be a left knee injury in the first quarter of the Michigan State game.
Patterson also talks about the fans chanting “Fire Brian” in reference to Iowa offensive coordinator Brian Ferentz. The chants started late in the third quarter of the Michigan State game.
We always look forward to Don’s unique insight.
