Hawk Fanatic podcast: Former Michigan RB Jamie Morris breaks down Big Ten Championship game
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Former Michigan running back Jamie Morris was the guest on Wednesday’s Hawk Fanatic radio show and podcast.
Morris, who rushed for over 4,200 yards as a four-year starter under Bo Schembechler in the 1980s, shares his thoughts and insight on Saturday’s matchup between Michigan and Iowa in the Big Ten Championship game at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
Morris played for Michigan from 1984 to 1987 and was teammates with current Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh for three seasons.
Morris and Harbaugh, a former quarterback, were starters for Michigan’s 1985 squad that lost to Iowa 12-10 at Kinnick Stadium when Iowa was ranked No. 1 and Michigan No. 2.
Michigan is currently favored by 23.5 points heading into Saturday’s title game.
Morris isn’t worried that the Michigan players will take Iowa lightly because they respect the Iowa players and coaches, and because Michigan (12-0) has so much riding on this game as a potential playoff team.
His segment starts at the beginning of the two-hour podcast and lasts for about 30 minutes.
We appreciate Jamie being our guest.
