Iowa Athletics will honor NCAA-runner-up Iowa women’s basketball tam on Wednesday

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa Athletics Department will hold an end-of-season celebration to honor the NCAA runner-up women’s basketball team on Wednesday, April 10, at 6 p.m. (CT) at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Fans will have the opportunity to hear from P. Sue Beckwith, MD, Head Women’s Basketball Coach Lisa Bluder and Hawkeye student-athletes, including National Player of the Year Caitlin Clark and seniors Molly Davis, Sharon Goodman, Kate Martin and Gabbie Marshall.
The team’s trophies will be on hand at the celebration, along with the Iowa Spirit Squad, Herky and the Iowa Pep Band.
Parking will be available in lots surrounding Carver-Hawkeye Arena beginning at 4:30 p.m. ADA parking as available will be located in Lot 40.
The Hawkeyes advanced to the Final Four for the second straight year and for the third time in program history, finishing the season as the national runner-up. Iowa won its third straight Big Ten Tournament title and finished with a school record 34 victories, which are tied for the most in a single season in Big Ten Conference history.
The Athletics Department requests fans not gather upon the team’s arrival later today.
