Villanova guard Lucy Olsen commits to Iowa women’s basketball team
IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Iowa women’s basketball team is riding a wave of momentum after having arguably the greatest offensive player in the history of women’s college basketball lead it to unprecedented success with back-to-back NCAA runner-up finishes.
But Lisa Bluder also needs help in her backcourt with Iowa having to replace not only the legendary Caitlin Clark, but three other guards that played huge roles over multiple seasons.
Former Villanova guard Lucy Olsen is ready to help.

She announced her commitment to Iowa shortly after having visited the UI campus on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Olsen averaged 23.3 points per game for Villanova this past season.
In addition to Clark, Iowa also has to replace guards Kate Martin, Gabbie Marshall and Molly Davis.
Clark and Martin both were selected in the WNBA draft on Monday as Clark was picked first overall by the Indiana Fever, while Martin was picked 18th overall by the Las Vegas Aces.
The addition of the 5-foot-9 Olsen gives Iowa a veteran guard who is a proven scorer.
