Hawk Fanatic podcast: Iowa assistant coach Josh Sash makes guest appearance
Iowa rower Molly Shannon also makes guest appearance

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Iowa men’s basketball assistant coach Josh Sash and Iowa rower Molly Shannon both made guest appearances on Wednesday’s Hawk Fanatic radio show and podcast.
Sash talked about his rise up the coaching ladder, and about building a roster basically from scratch for the second year in a row.
He also played a key role in helping Ben McCollum build the 2024-25 Drake roster from scratch.
Drake would go on to finish 31-4 in McCollum’s only season as head coach.
McCollum was hired to replace Fran McCaffery as the Iowa men’s basketball coach shortly after McCaffery was fired in mid-March after 15 seasons.

Josh Sash and and fellow assistant coach Bryston Williams have both followed McCollum from Drake to Iowa.
Josh Sash is the older brother of former Iowa football star Tyler Sash, who passed away in 2015 at the age of 27.

Shannon said she would like to pursue a career as a singer/guitar player after college.
