IOWA CITY, Iowa – A versatile athlete from Pleasantville has committed to the Iowa’s football team’s 2027 recruiting class.
Braylon Bingham, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound three-star prospect, announced his commitment to Iowa Sunday on social media.
Bingham plays both quarterback and linebacker for his high school team, but he reportedly projects as a linebacker for Iowa.
He led his team with 60.5 tackles last season, and also amassed over 2,400 yards as a dual-threat quarterback – 1,493 passing and 909 yards rushing.
Bingham announced his commitment just five days after 2027 Bettendorf linebacker Gavin Stecker committed to Iowa.
Stecker and Bingham are the first two players to commit to Iowa’s 2027 class.
Bingham, who is also a standout in basketball, reportedly chose Iowa over Iowa State. He also had interest from Kansas and Northwestern.
