IOWA CITY, Iowa – Ben McCollum made his second guest appearance on the Hawk Fanatic radio show and podcast on Wednesday, and much has changed since he first appeared about a year ago.

After finishing 10-10 in Big Ten  play, the Hawkeyes, behind star senior point guard Bennett Stirtz, took fans on a historical journey in the NCAA Tournament, advancing to the Elite Eight for the first time since 1987.

But Stirtz is now preparing for the NBA draft, while McCollum is preparing for his second season as the Iowa head coach, and also adjusting to life without Stirtz, on and off the court.

McCollum addressed multiple topics during Wednesday’s interview, which starts at the beginning of the 60-minute podcast.
