IOWA CITY, Iowa – Iowa football released its depth chart on Monday, and as expected, there still is an or between the names of quarterbacks Hank Brown and Jeremy Hecklinski, while running back LJ Phillips isn’t listed on the depth chart.
Iowa will face Iowa State (1-0) at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday at Kinnick Stadium.
Brown started in this past Saturday’s 40-0 victory over Northern Illinois in the season opener at Kinnick Stadium, but then also rotated with Hecklinski throughout the first half, which ended with Iowa leading 33-0.

Brown completed 12-of-20 passes for 129 yards and one touchdown while playing just in the first half.
Hecklinski completed 7-of-16 passes for 76 yards, one touchdown and one interception over three quarters.
Phillips, meanwhile, limped off the field with an ankle injury in the first half against Northern Illinois and did not return. He had four carries for five yards when he left the game.
Phillips was listed as the backup to starter Kamari Moulton on last week’s depth chart.
Nathan McNeil and Xavier Williams are now listed as the two backup running backs behind Moulton, who rushed for a career-high 183 yards and scored two touchdowns in the win over Northern Illinois.
Phillips is one of 16 players that joined Iowa from the transfer portal this offseason. He transferred from South Dakota where he rushed for 1,921 yards last season, which was the most in FCS.
