IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa women’s basketball guard Dani Carnegie has been named to the 2026 USA Basketball 3×3 U23 Women’s National Team roster, USA Basketball announced Wednesday.
Carnegie will represent the United States at the 2026 FIBA 3×3 U23 World Cup, set for Sept. 15-19 in Wuhan, China. She joins McKinna Brackens, Katie Fiso and Tori McKinney on the four-player roster. Todd Monsey will serve as head coach.
The four players reunite after winning the 2026 FIBA 3×3 Nations League Americas North Conference in July in Ñuñoa, Chile, earning the United States a berth in the U23 World Cup. Monsey also served as head coach during the Nations League competition.
Carnegie, Fiso and McKinney also competed together at the USA Basketball 3X Showcase in May in Mesa, Arizona, helping Team Phoenix capture the tournament title with a 21-17 victory over Team Tempe in the championship game.
Carnegie joined the Hawkeyes this offseason after earning unanimous First Team All-SEC honors at Georgia in 2025-26. She averaged 17.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 32 contests for the Bulldogs. As a freshman at Georgia Tech in 2024-25, Carnegie was named ACC Sixth Player of the Year and earned All-ACC Freshman Team honors.
The United States will compete in Pool D alongside Japan, Kenya, Slovenia and Australia. Team USA opens pool play Sept. 16 against Japan at 2:50 a.m. (CT) before facing Kenya at 7:50 a.m. Pool play concludes Sept. 18 against Slovenia at 4:30 a.m. and Australia at 7:25 a.m.
The top two teams from each of the four five-team pools will advance to the quarterfinals Sept. 19.
