Film/Evaluation: Juan Harris The Opening
ADDISON, Ill. – Juan Harris was one of a handful of sophomores at Sunday’s The Opening Chicago Regional here at Addison Trail High School. Many of the juniors probably wished he stayed home. The 6-foot-4, 368-pound man-child rolled over the competition.
Here’s what I saw: Wow. I had heard good things about Harris but seeing is believe. Now, I believe. The talented sophomore turned Illinois Center Matthew Allen, a Michigan State commit, into a human turnstile time after time. Harris showed me he’s more than just a big guy clogging up the middle. He’s lighting quick off the ball, good with his hands and strong as an ox. It’s scary to think about where this kid could be if can get himself into better shape. As many of you know, he’s committed and de-committed twice from the Hawkeyes in last six months. He told me he still likes the Hawkeyes but is going to wait until the summer before his senior year, at the earliest, to make another pledge anywhere.
Here’s a look at Sunday’s impressive one-on-one performance from Harris:
