AH-TV: Lisa Bluder, Ally Disterhoft and Megan Gustafson talk Big Ten Tourney
IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Iowa women’s basketball team has some work to do in the Big Ten Tournament in order to make the NCAA Tournament for a ninth consecutive season.
The Hawkeyes are seeded ninth in the Big Ten Tournament and will face No. 8 seed Michigan in the first round at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The teams split two games during the regular season.
The winner of that game would face No. 1 seed Maryland in the next round on Friday. There is speculation Iowa would need to win at least one game to have a realistic chance of making the NCAA Tournament.
Iowa coach Lisa Bluder met with the media on Tuesday to discuss the conference tournament and to look back at the regular season. Bluder also congratulated her three players that received all-Big Ten accolades. Junior forward Ally Disterhoft made second-team, while center Megan Gustafson and point guard Tania Davis both made the all-Freshmen team.
Here are videos featuring Bluder, Disterhoft and Gustafson talking about the conference tournament.
