AH-TV: McCaffery, Iowa players talk about Tuesday’s 81-78 loss to Indiana
IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Iowa men’s basketball team erased a double-digit deficit against Indiana in the second half, but still fell short, losing 81-78 on Tuesday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Indiana, with records of 24-6 overall and 14-3 in the conference, captured the Big Ten regular-season title outright with Tuesday’s victory, while Iowa lost its fourth game in a row and for the fifth time in its last six games. Indiana also swept the regular-season series with Iowa, winning the first game 85-78 on Feb. 11 in Bloomington, Ind.
The night started with Iowa’s five seniors being honored before the game, which was their last appearance at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
