Friday’s podcast talks Prince, spring game, Billy Fennelly, TV rights and more
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Friday’s podcast pays tribute to versatile musical legend, Prince, including talking about his much-underrated prowess as a guitar player.
We also look ahead to Saturday’s spring game at Kinnick Stadium, which is actually an open practice, culminating with a scrimmage at the end. Iowa’s spring finale doesn’t very draw well compared to many other schools, mostly because it’s a glorified practice in which tailgating and alcohol aren’t allowed. We discuss how much the restrictions hurt attendance.
We also talk about the controversy involving Iowa State women’s basketball coach Bill Fennelly, about Michigan State’s television deal with Fox and how it will change the landscape and about the huge wrestling recruiting news from Wednesday.
And, of course, we do a little drifting.
Hope you enjoy it.
