Iowa releases assistant football coaching salaries
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Phil Parker and Chris Doyle both have been with Kirk Ferentz throughout his 19 seasons as the Iowa football coach, and it reflects in their pay.
Parker and Doyle are Iowa's two highest paid assistants with each earning an annual salary of $675,000, according to records that were released on Thursday.
Parker is in his 19th season on the Iowa staff and his sixth season as the defensive coordinator, while Doyle in is his 19th season as Iowa's strength and conditioning coach.
First-year offensive coordinator Brian Ferentz is the third highest paid member on the staff at $625,000 followed by quarterback coach Ken O'Keefe at $540,000. O'Keefe previously served as the Iowa offensive coordinator from 1999 to 2011 before coaching for four seasons with the NFL's Miami Dolphins.
O'Keefe returned to Iowa shortly after the 2016 season had ended.
