Four-star receiver David Bell high on Iowa after visit

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Four-star receiver David Bell could be the highly recruited playmaker that the Iowa football team is in search of.
Iowa apparently has made quite an impression on the 2019 Indianapolis, Ind. native, as Bell has the Hawkeyes near the top of his list after his most recent visit that was more in-depth than previous visits.
“My first few visits to Iowa were just see the building, which is nice and all,” Bell said. “This time I got to spend time with the players a little which was extremely fun.
“(Iowa) is at the top of my list.”
The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Bell spoke with sophomore running back Toren Young and junior linebacker Amani Jones.
Bell said both players raved about the Iowa coaching staff.
“They told me that the coaches really care about you at Iowa and they want what is best for you,” Bell said. “(They also said) the teammates are pretty good.”
Bell said he is also considering Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue and Indiana.
He also said he has not thought about when he would like to make a decision.
Iowa has had recent success recruiting the Indianapolis area.
The Hawkeyes signed three Indianapolis natives to its 2018 recruiting class in receiver Tyrone Tracy and defensive backs D.J. Johnson and Julius Brents.
