Former Northwestern receiver Jacob Gill commits to Iowa
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Chicago’s Big Ten team is now showing signs of becoming Iowa City’s Big Ten team in football.
First, it was Northwestern quarterback Brendan Sullivan to commit to the Iowa football team, and now Northwestern receiver Jacob Gill has joined him from the transfer portal.
Iowa desperately needs help at both positions, so at least from a depth standpoint, the addition of Gill is a step forward.
Gill appeared in 28 games over three seasons for Northwestern, combining for 16 catches for 195 yards and two touchdowns.
Gill only appeared in four games this past season.
Gill’s commitment to Iowa comes on the heels of Sullivan’s announcement last week that he has committed to Iowa.
