IOWA CITY, Iowa – Four-star small forward Aidan Shaw picked up his fifth scholarship offer from Iowa last week.
The 2022 Stillwell, Kan. native was excited to get his first offer from a Big Ten school.
“It feels great,” Shaw said. “They are a big player in the Big Ten, improving and reaching the tournament in multiple years.”
The 6-foot-7, 175-pound Shaw hasn’t had a chance to visit Iowa yet, but is looking to visit in November to learn more about the program.
“I want to see how their program is structured on the day-to-day as a potential student-athlete,” Shaw said. “I also want to feel the support the fans and student body portray at a game.”
Shaw also has offers from Oklahoma State, Texas Christian, Southern Cal and Vanderbilt.
Iowa does not currently have any players committed to its 2022 recruiting class.
The Hawkeyes do have four players verbally committed to its 2020 class in twin forwards Kris and Keegan Murray and three-star guards Tony Perkins and Ahron Ulis.
The Murray brothers are attending a post-grad prep school in Florida after having attended Cedar Rapids Prairie, while Perkins and Ulis hail from Indianapolis and Chicago, respectively.
